Kim is a graduate from Berry College in the U.S. with a degree in Business Administration and a minor in Spanish.  Kim has worked with WinShape Wilderness in the U.S. as a lead facilitator and camp director for four years and brings a wealth of expertise with her to Brackenhurst. “I’ve seen many lives change through experiential learning and it’s exciting to know that I’ll see these changes happen to people in Kenya,” says Kim about her new role as Director of Brackenhurst Adventures.  Kim’s Business Administration degree also helps her facilitate courses with corporate clients and gives her a better understanding of what a company needs and how it relates to their work environment.

Kim’s other credentials include Ropes Course Management training and Facilitator Training certification with various organizations in the United States.  She also has her wilderness first aid certification, CPR accreditation, and has been involved with the Association for Experiential Education during regional conferences in the U.S.

Program Director

Email kyle@brackenhurstadventures.com

Kyle graduated from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Masters degree in Intercultural Studies. He has an undergraduate degree in Therapeutic Recreation from Georgia Southern University.  He began facilitating challenge courses in 1993. Kyle believes that, “The challenge course provides metaphors for real life situations, whether in the business world or the spiritual realm. Challenge courses allow one a peek into what is really going on inside, from that changes begin to occur.”

Kyle’s prior experience has included marketing, drug counseling, and assistant camp director.  Kyle has used experiential education to teach students and adults all over the United States. Kyle’s prior international experience included teaching experiential education in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Zagreb, Croatia.  He found experiential education to be an important tool to bring healing in these war torn nations. He has  training as a Wilderness First Responder, CPR, and a variety of challenge course facilitator classes.

Martha Nduhiu

Assistant Director

 Email: martha@brackenhurstadventures.com

Martha is a graduate of Daystar University with a degree in marketing and a minor in public relations communication.  She began facilitating ropes courses in 1998 while involved in the Doulos leadership program at Daystar. Since then she has worked on several other courses in Kenya. When asked why she chose a career in this field she said, “According to research, 80% of what we learn is through experience. It is therefore an honor to facilitate a challenge course and watch the positive changes in people as they implement all that they have learned through experiential education.”

Martha enjoys event planning and organization. She has been involved in planning and promoting international tours, has led rock-climbing trips to various sites in Kenya, and has guided groups up Mt. Kenya. She is trained in first aid and CPR.
